It’s been three long years since our last runway show, but with THE ICONIC RUNWAY X in the bag, we’re looking back fondly at last week’s headline-making event. At the frontiers of fashion and tech, self-expression through style in the real and digital worlds took centre stage. That is to say, self-expression without limits. And it was a MOMENT. Not quite one of those YOU HAD TO BE THERE moments, but that’s only because it’s on Youtube. One of the stars of the show, Harry Garside took to the runway with the same fearless approach that earned him some bronze hardware at the Tokyo Olympics. Confident, compelling and effortlessly cool under the spotlight.
A few weeks prior to the show, we had the privilege of sitting down with Harry on our summer shoot with a chance to pick his brains about boxing, ballet dancing, breaking down gender barriers and more. A soft soul with an instantly charming self-awareness, he’s not what many might expect from a man that spends a lot of time getting punched in the head. He told us all about how questioning the rules and boundaries placed on us can be equally uncomfortable and rewarding; about how a good manicure and flowing mullet can co-exist; and about how sitting in and embracing feminine energy has made him a better man in his own personal journey.

Fast forward then to THE ICONIC RUNWAY X, it was no surprise to see Harry champion genderless fashion with a cheeky grin and nonchalance. Just weeks after talking the talk, he walked the walk as though a boxer finding themself on a fashion runway in a skirt, fluorescent Crocs and sporting some complementary hyper-coloured arm candy, is an everyday occurrence. Because why wouldn’t they find themselves doing exactly that? Touché, Harry.
