A Look At The Attendee Energy At THE ICONIC RUNWAY X

Here’s what the guests wore to one of the biggest fashion moments of the year.

On Wednesday 2nd November 2022, we hosted THE ICONIC’s annual runway show, RUNWAY X. Coming a long way from the first swim show hosted on Bondi Beach back in 2016, this year the lines between the real and virtual were blurred with a show that celebrated self-expression in all its forms.

We opened our runway show with a Welcome to Country by Elder, Uncle Brendan followed by a minute silence to mark and honour the National Day of Action and Mourning regarding the tragic murder of 15-year-old Noongar Yamatji boy, Cassius Turvey, in Western Australia.

Our commitment to allyship with our First Nations community partners and peoples goes beyond the role of supporting First Nations fashion. For us, we truly believe we have an enormous responsibility as a First Nations ally to use our platform to spread awareness and advocate for justice.

Our diverse lineup of talent, which included the likes of First Nations models Elaine George and Cindy Rostron, international supermodel Duckie Thot, Olympic boxing medalist Harry Garside, and Heartbreak High star James Majoos, then made their way down the runway wearing the biggest trends of the season, interacting with giant metamirrors that reflected their virtual avatar self, symbolic of the transformational nature of fashion and beauty.

Like with any major fashion event, there was just as much excitement off the runway at the afterparty. Shout out to Messina for serving their iconic flavour combos to keep the energy levels high. And special thanks to all attendees for giving best-dressed guest vibes all night. Check out some of the hottest looks from the evening, available now on THE ICONIC.

Fast delivery – free over $50 – and free returns.
