Blurring the lines between real and virtual, THE ICONIC’s sixth annual RUNWAY X show went beyond what you could ever imagine. The incredible line-up of talent, including Heartbreak High star James Majoos, international supermodel Duckie Thot, ‘Boxer of the 21st Century’ Harry Garside, medical student Jimmy Jan and First Nations model Elaine George among many others, were all encouraged to just be themselves and have fun as they modelled the latest trends for summer.

“First thing I do is take my dog out then brew a coffee for Mum, flick on the news and go through my emails and schedule for the day ahead whilst scoffing down a bagel.”

“It’s a world and environment unlike any other, I love being backstage and “BTS” of any kind of event or project but at times the energy can be quite overstimulating so you’ll find me in a corner with my AirPods in listening to tunes.

“Sunscreen – black mightn’t crack but the sun doesn’t discriminate.”
What’s the most bizarre beauty treatment you’ve ever tried?
“Snail Mucin, but I swear by it now.”
How do you wind down in the evenings?

“My ideal Meta Avatar would be nothing like me, I’d have fun with it and fashion something with an eclectic style, shape and form. Completely void of any humanoid likeness.”
And if you could rewrite fashion and beauty guides, what would be your number one rule?
“My number one rule is there are no rules. Do what you want as long as it’s true to you and that includes (if you have the means to) expressing that through your style and beauty. Fashion is both a fantasy and an extension of our truths.”
