ICYMI, Australian Fashion Week was in full swing at Carriageworks in Sydney, and while the weather here was sad and grey, the outfits – both on the runway and the streets – were anything but. Hosted by Afterpay, the five-day event boasted a schedule of runway shows presented by some of the most notable fashion labels in Australia so we thought we’d share some future outfit inspiration from the brands available on THE ICONIC.
Bianca Spender
A celebration of the female form and made from 90% deadstock fabrics – we can’t help but love every detail from Bianca Spender’s SS22 collection.
BONDI BORN
BONDI BORN’s Summer and Resort 23 collection of relaxed silhouettes and sweet sorbet hues made us hopeful for sunny days ahead.
Romance Was Born
Rainbow colours mixed with more texture than you can imagine, the Romance Was Born Resort 23 collection was full of literal wearable works of art.
Oroton
If you weren’t considering a cheeky European summer holiday before, you certainly will be after seeing Oroton’s Resort 23 collection, featuring soft linen dresses and draped dressing gowns.
sass & bide
Speaking of party girls, sass & bide’s collection was bold, energetic and fun with a colour palette of oranges and neon greens underpinned by the darkest blacks for a strong statement.
TORANNCE
Florals were a focus for the TORANNCE collection with models walking down the runway wearing tiered skirts and dresses smattered with pretty petal prints head-to-toe.
Dyspnea
Dyspnea didn’t stray from their Y2K party girl aesthetic for this collection, delivering embellished outfits that everybody would enjoy.
Hansen & Gretel
Hansen & Gretel delivered holiday vibes with a collection of relaxed silhouettes in silky satins and oozy knits, even the tailoring was relaxed with models sporting half-buttoned shirts to emphasise their OOO mood.
