While the impact of La Niña over much of Eastern Australia has ensured that summer has never really kicked into gear, the period between late February and into March has always been a tricky one from a sartorial perspective. Days can just as easily descend into frigid, rainy affairs as easily as they can resemble an early-January summer's day, meaning you have to be prepared as much for the cold as you are for the heat. Thankfully, this style of transeasonal dressing is where some of our favourite outfit inspo occurs, and there are plenty of TV shows and movies that'll help guide you on this journey to year-round style.
Euphoria
Famed as much for its sense of elevated teen style as it is for its incredible performance and raw subject matter, Euphoria has been dubbed the most-stylish show of 2022 so far — a title it looks unlikely to relinquish any time soon. But while the looks worn by the girls of East Highland are setting the internet alight in the womenswear stakes, the male characters on the show have also been serving up consistently great outfits throughout Euphoria's second season, from Fezco’s (Angus Cloud) cable-knit sweaters, polo shirts and tracksuits to Nate’s (Jacob Elordi) more preppy take on streetwear.

Licorice Pizza
On a completely different end of the style scale is Paul Thomas Anderson's Oscar-nominated Licorice Pizza: a sun-drenched ode to the tight t-shirts, big collars and baggy pants of the 70s. While this may seem an obscure look to bring into 2022, there's no doubt that the decade has had more of an influence on recent seasons than meets the eye. Up-and-coming designers like Grace Wales Bonner have sought to recontextualise the decade's signature earthy tones and tracksuits, while big suits and loud shirts have dominated menswear on the runways of Milan and Paris.

Jackass
This might seem like a strange one to list here, but after a couple of decades of near obscurity, the grungy stoner style of the Jackass crew, and other skaters of the time, seems to have become part of the wider Y2K fashion renaissance that's dominating both male and female style. Baggy jeans and painter pants are back in a big way, as are chunky sneakers and graphic tees, signalling that the era of the skinny jean and hypebeast streetwear seems, for now at least, to be behind us.
