We're pleased to report that the last couple of years have seen a resurgence in extremely playful male fashion trends. Menswear has never been as androgynous, accessory-forward and flamboyant as it is right now, driven by style icons like Harry Styles, A$AP Rocky and Tyler, The Creator embracing accessory ideas from across the entire gender spectrum.
As such, there are a ton of subtle accessory cues you can take from these fashion forward guys. Some are a little bolder than others, but all of them will take any outfit to a new level and ensure that you well and truly look plugged in to the fashion zeitgeist. Here are a few we're predicting to dominate in 2022.

1. Nail polish
The rise of men wearing nail polish has been unquestionable in recent times, leading us to think this year could be the year we see it either crack the fashion mainstream or fall by the wayside. Given both Harry Styles and Tyler, The Creator have dropped their own nail polish lines in recent months, however, it's probably fair to predict that gender-neutral beauty in all its forms is here to stay.
2. Playful ties
The collections of high fashion designers have been specifically tailoring heavy on the menswear front, with many embracing boxier silhouettes, misshapen cuts and a skewed take on old-school tailoring. As such, the tie is set to make a big comeback on the necks of fashion week's coolest kids.
3. Glammed-up jewellery
We've already seen a bunch of the best-dressed dudes in music and movies embrace jewellery in recent years, bringing everything from chunky '80s signet rings to pearl necklaces back into style. This year, we think it'll crack the mainstream even further, whether it's by guys investing in a subtle ring or a simple gold chain to give their everyday fits a little pop.
