Yes, We Love Long Shorts

All grown up.

There’s a special kind of feeling in bringing something back, in loving it all over again. Last year, it was Dad sneakers – the chunky-look trainers that we wore – and continue to wear – with just about everything. A little before that, it was reef sandals. Tevas all day, errrryday. And then: the Hawaiian shirt. Or, as we call it at THE ICONIC HQ, the ready-to-party shirt. Now, though, we’ve got a new crush: shorts.

They’re shorts, but not like we know them. With back-to-school vibes, they’re the kind that was once rocked by English teachers, the kind Americans refer to as Bermuda shorts. Yes, shorts are getting longer and we’re all for it. With room to move, they’re comfort like never before.

In an all-over linen look, they’re your go-to summer suit. Work-ready, so long as you’ve spent a little quality time with your iron that morning. Or, try them in denim with a white shirt to reboot your summer style.

They’re not everyone’s flavour, but hey, that’s the beauty of fashion. Like Taylor Swift said (and is she ever wrong?): “Haters gonna hate / Players gonna play”.
