When you're homebound, what are some lounge room exercises you can do?

“Functional body movements, such as:
Pushup / spiderman pushup / tricep pushup
Plank / crunches / oblique crunch
Lunge / side lunge twist /
Squat / squat jumps
Burpees
Bear crawls”

What’s your favourite DIY exercise?

“My favourite at-home prop is using resistance bands to make exercises more difficult, for example using the band during a push up to add resistance.”

What can you do without leaving your desk? Or around the home office?

Walking lunges around your home, body weight squats, dynamic stretching.

How can you use your body weight without equipment?

“Movement. Movement is important for the body and we forget how functional and extraordinary our bodies are. Perform simple exercises such as squats or deadlifts – these are exercises we use everyday without realising. Such as squatting down to pick up the groceries and deadlifting down to put the groceries down.”

What are your tips to stay motivated when you don’t want to work out?

“Focus on your goals and remember why you want to train. Train to be strong and fit, train to be mentally powerful. People often take movement for granted, we're very lucky to be able to workout and train.”

*Have fun, take care and ALWAYS seek medical advice if you have any concerns. You’ve got this!
