Top 10 Must-Have Travel Accessories

Pared down and perfect packing

It’s taken tested nerves and numerous bad packing choice for us to narrow down our list of travel essentials to just ten. Of course, there are a multitude of things we could include — a magical legroom expander and an overnight coach smell remover being two that spring to mind — but there are a few things that universally make travelling easier and more enjoyable. Here is our must-have travel accessory list to ensure your next trip is as comfortable as possible.

1. Packing Bags

Increase space and save time looking for your items by organising (and keeping organised) your clothing, cables and sundries with these handy packing bags.

2. Wash Bag

Protect your essentials, keep them in one place with a sturdy wash bag. Plus, prevent yourself from going mad with new purchases. If there’s no room, it’s a no go.

3. Power pack

Be it on an overnight bus through a remote jungle or a short haul flight to an urban centre, don’t get caught on red. Make sure you have a battery boost to hand when you need it.

4. Universal Adaptor

Why worry about plugs and sockets when one Universal adaptor can alleviate all of your laptop and smart phone worries. Keep it close and keep it safe. You’ll use it every single day.

5. Travel Scales

Suitcases have a knack for gaining a few kilos on each stop so make sure you know how much your case weighs before you get a shock on the airport scales. Nobody likes an overweight fee.

6. Headphones

Useful for podcast upskilling, musical daydreaming and drowning out the screaming kid sitting behind, a decent pair of wireless noise cancelling headphones might just be a traveller’s best friend.

7. Carry-On Suitcase

Protective, light-weight and perfectly shaped to fit in any airline cabin, a robust carry-on suitcase is an obvious travel must-have.

8. Weekend Duffel Bag

Can be used in isolation or as an additional carry-on item when paired with your suitcase, a great duffel bag will stand the rigours of travel and offer a few extra compartments for your loose bits and bobs to boot.

9. Day Pack

A great day pack can house all the technological essential you need for a day out plus a few choice extras. Make sure it can be packed flat and thrown into a suitcase to give you more flexibility when travelling for longer periods of time. h

10. Socks

Nothing worse than having cold toes and nothing pleases more than a mid-flight sock change. Have a clean pair of natural, warm socks on hand at all times and keep at least one creature comfort with you wherever you are.
