8 Beaches to Put on Your Bucket List RN

These are our favourites, what are yours?

Beaches! Who doesn’t love a beautiful beach? No one, that’s who. And that’s why we’ve pulled together our bucket list of the beaches we’d love to pull a towel up at sometime in our lives. There are many others that didn’t make the list, but these eight are our current Pinterest obsessions.

El Nido, Palawan, Philippines
The aqua lagoons and dramatic cliffs of El Nido seem too good to be true, but even Instagram photos don’t do them justice. You’ll find white beaches, incredible snorkelling sites and even a comfortable eco-resort to stay in. Being off the tourist track for so long, it's unspoilt and affordable, but they won't stay secret for long, so visit soon!

Kaputas Beach, Turkey
There are hundreds of beaches in Turkey but our pick is Kaputas Beach on the road between Kalkan and Kas. It’s a local favourite, and thankfully the limited accessibility means that it’s hardly ever crowded. The sheer cliffs and lack of facilities (there is nothing there – no kiosk or bathrooms) means the crystal clear water and golden beach are super clean. Access is via a long flight is stairs.

Diani Beach, Kenya
Voted Africa’s best beach for three years running, Diani Beach is what holiday postcards are made of. Palm trees, gentle breezes, a huge stretch of white sand and sometimes even camels. However, it can get busy, so try to visit in early December or late March to avoid crowds.

One Foot Island, The Cook Islands
Aitutaki in the Cook Islands is a honeymoon haven for good reason; a lack of crowds, incredible aqua sea and crunchy white sand. As there is limited accommodation it’s never too busy, especially on One Foot Island (known locally as Tapuaetai). This tiny, uninhabited palm-fringed islet in the lagoon will make you feel like Robinson Crusoe.

Turquoise Bay, Australia
We couldn’t talk beaches without at least one Aussie one, now could we? And the worthy winner is Western Australia’s Turquoise Bay. Located up near Exmouth in the Cape Range National Park, few visitors venture here as there are limited camping spots but you can drive from Exmouth for the day. Every beach cliché you can think of applies here.

Anse Source d’Argent Beach, Seychelles
The Seychelles as a whole should be on everyone’s bucket list, and while this beach is incredibly popular year-round it’s well worth the visit. So get up really early to nab yourself a spot and enjoy the shallow waters, unusual rock formations and natural shade. When you’re hungry grab a selection of fruit from the local fruit stands nearby.

Praia dos Carneiros, Brazil
There are thousands of beaches in Brazil that could have been on this list, but we’ve chosen Praia dos Carneiros because of the abundance of palm trees you’ll find there. It’s in the north of Brazil, where the tourism is mainly locals, and the clear waters are rarely crowded. Off the beaten track but totally worth it, especially with an ice-cold caipirinha in your hand – it’s the national cocktail so it’d be rude not to try it, right?

Navagio Beach, Greece
’Shipwreck’ beach in Greece is an incredible place to visit, but straight up we’ll say that this beach is crowded. Really crowded. That could be because of the ‘Instagram effect’ or just because it's such a stunning beach. Go early in the season, go early in the day and expect company.
