As the legendary George Michael aptly sang on Club Tropicana, “there’s enough for everyone”, and this season that couldn’t be more true. Imagined in an array of scorched colours and lush, palm prints, totally tropical motifs are no longer reserved for the peacocks among us, they’re for the masses.

This year, THE ICONIC Swim Show ‘18 sent a carnival of clashing prints down the runway. Hibiscus married with everything from blossom to coconut leaves and vintage-looking pineapple patterns. More is more under the summer sun.

Where previously the look has been bright and tropical, bordering on the novelty, this season it’s all grown up - the palette dialled down to more subtle burnt reds, all under a sun-faded filter that makes them feel more at home on Australian soil.
