This Summer, it’s all about the cover up. No, we’re not talking conspiracy theories, we’re talking good old fashioned sun smarts as National Skin Cancer Action Week lands – an initiative driven by the Cancer Council Australia and the Australasian College of Dermatologists aimed at raising the sun smarts of Australians nationwide.

We’re loving lightweight long sleeves, and everything linen. Breathable, soft-to-the-touch fabrics that flow as you go. Broad-brimmed hats and floaty summer dresses. Anything that throws some shade and keeps the sun at bay. For the water, we’re wearing surf-ready mailots with full sleeves, perfect too for the endless hours spent with the kids in the shallow end.

Skin damage, we’re told, can be prevented in a big way by being sun savvy. We were raised on the slip, slop, slap mantra and we still live by it today. It’s a manifesto of loving the skin you’re in and giving it the very best TLC all year round. So, no matter where you’re headed this summer, here are the styles to keep you company.
