The casting might have caused controversy but at least we can all agree the wardrobe will make it a must-watch.

The announcement of Kristen Stewart’s casting as Princess Diana caused quite a stir on social media late last week, with many confused as to why the American Twilight star was chosen to play British royalty, suggesting that while she’s an incredible actress, someone like Emma Watson would be a “better fit”. But regardless of whether you agree or disagree with who plays who, the film, titled Spencer, will be a must-watch if not for an accurate portrayal of Lady Di, then at least for some amazing 90s style inspiration.

To be directed by Pablo Larraín, the movie will focus on the late princess rejecting rigid royal life and forging her own path, and although it is set to cover the specific weekend when Diana decided that her marriage to Prince Charles was officially over, we hope to see some additional scenes worked into the storyline to feature some of these incredible outfits.
