The Most Stylish Men Celebrating Their Birthday This Month

Not just a great month for warmer winter days – August has also provided a disproportionate amount of menswear icons.

Menswear is a branch of fashion that always just seems to come to life in the depths of winter. Even guys who aren't so confident with their style seem to revel in the cooler months, with more layers and different outerwear options to upgrade their wardrobe with.

As such, it seems fitting that late winter also seems to be a particularly good time for producing remarkably well-dressed men. Many of the best-dressed men in the worlds of fashion, movies and music share August birthdays, iconoclastic designers like Tom Ford and Yves Saint Laurent among them.

We only thought it right, then, to provide a brief tribute to the most stylish month of all, and dig into the style of some of the best-dressed men to have the letters 'Aug' stamped on their passport.

Taika Waititi

(August 16)
The beloved Kiwi director has undergone one of the great late career glow-ups of recent times, riding the highs of his blockbuster projects like Thor and Jojo Rabbit to become one of the most-watched men on the red carpet. He walked the Met Gala in Prada with partner Rita Ora, and has become one of the poster boys for the recent move towards quirky casual tailoring.

Andrew Garfield

(August 20)
One of 2022's shining sartorial stars, Garfield has emerged from the relative obscurity of his Amazing Spider-Man days to become one of the most watched millennial men on the red carpet. How has he pulled it off? A show-stopping run of incredible suits, for the most part, as well as displaying a particularly dazzling array of summer shirting.

Jason Momoa

(August 1)
The Aquaman star seems to flit between two different sartorial codes: either keeping it casual and rugged while he's off-duty, or turning the tailoring up to 11 in a distinctly rock-and-roll way. Either way, he's setting the blueprint for keeping your overall aesthetic decidedly masculine, without being afraid to experiment with colour, cut, and layering.

Sebastian Stan

(August 13)
Another heart-throb who has had a particularly good 2022 in the style stakes, Stan will no doubt go down in the annals for his blazing pink Valentino 'fit at this year's Met Gala – however it's worth pointing out that the Winter Soldier very rarely misses the mark when it comes to his looks while out promoting his projects, generally pairing excellent, shirts, suits and knitwear with a sky-high fade for a look that's eye-catching, yet replicable for the everyday battler.
