The Best Style Investments According To A Senior Designer Buyer

What does a typical day/week look like for you? My days generally start pretty early, getting through emails before I either log on from home, or head into the office. I spend most of my time either between spreadsheets and forecasts, or seeing new upcoming collections from our amazing brands. I’m often meeting with brands to collaborate on strategy and assortment to ensure we are giving our customers exactly what they are after. I’m deep in market research, delving into new and upcoming brands, trends and opportunities that we can bring to life on THE ICONIC. The sky's the limit!

Three words that define your style:  Playful. Experimental. Effortless.

What are you most excited to wear this season? My shoe addiction is sickening (in the best way possible). I can't wait to whip out my boots, and clogs, and ofcourse, UGGs for the cooler months!

Where do you look for outfit inspiration? I get a lot of personal style inspo from what goes on behind the runways. I live for street style and the creative expression of how looks can be created. 

What are the building blocks every good wardrobe should start with?  I’m a sucker for relaxed denim and tailoring. Oversized is everything! This really allows you to style pieces in your own way with any tuck or fold or roll. And to complement this, elevated basics with interest and a statement shoe. Re/Done does the most perfect fits for my denim collection and Blanca brings such a fun twist to any tailoring. 

What do you look for in core wardrobe staples? I like to look for attention to detail. There's no key piece, but more the detail in each of my core staples that will instantly elevate and add spice to any outfit. Think along the lines of interesting necklines to basics, or the drape to a dress, or even down to buttons on my blazers.

What about your beauty shelf staples? More is more when it comes to my beauty cupboard – I’m a marketer's dream! My routine is built around hydration to always achieve that ‘glow from within’ look. I’ll never be without my Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair and Bobbi Brown Face Base. Topped off with some daily Super Greens supplements and Vida Glow!

If you were only going to invest in one style update this season what would it be and why? A good trench coat can take you places. She’s light but layerable. She’s effortless and chic. And no one does a trench like CAMILLA AND MARC – they're the best investment for your AW23 wardrobe.

And finally, if you could only wear one outfit for the rest of the season what would it be? Bury me in my favourite jeans & a blazer! This combo is so versatile and what I’ll be living in.
