Our Top 5 Mens' Classic Sneakers

 For your wishlist.

Come kick it with us. From old school VANS to New Balance, we look at 5 sneaker favourites with THE ICONIC men’s sneaker buyer Lana Koura.

Nike Air Tailwind 79
Debuting in the 1978 Honolulu Marathon, this is the first ever shoe released with Nike’s Air cushioning … a  technology pioneered by aerospace engineer Frank Rudy. It was fully released in 1979 and sold-out immediately, earning itself the  ‘79 name.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 70
This is a homage to the ‘70s released versions and includes  a heavier-duty 12-ounce canvas, and canvas reinforcement in the toe.  Higher foxing makes for a sturdier and more stable feel and the shiny varnish brings a vintage feel. There’s also extra layers of cushioning in the insole for extra comfort and the original Black licence plate on the heel.

New Balance 990v5
With the classic tag, “worn by Supermodels in London and dads in Ohio,” these are the Made-In-USA kicks that debuted in 1982 as the first running shoe to running shoe to break $100 RRP. It’s been a regular on the Dad shoe bandwagon ever since.

Vans Authentic
Originally known as the Vans #44 Deck Shoe, this shoe – with its rugged nature and grippy sole –  was a favourite with the Lords of Dogtown as the skate scene took off in the middle of the SoCal drought.

Asics Gel Quantum 360 V5
The Quantum has been at the forefront of the current Asics resurgence. This is the fifth version of the shoe to release with complete redesign of the upper, midsole and tooling, and comes complete with 360 degrees of gel cushioning.
