Is this the most controversial article ever written?

With The Avengers: Endgame expected to set box office records this week, we thought we’d look at who is left to fight Thanos (that we know of from the trailers) and rank them in order of our favourites.

Number 1: Thor

Thor is arguably the mightiest of the Avengers. He’s worthy of owning one of the most powerful weapons ever created, plus he’s a god. A literal god.

Number 2: Steve Rogers / Captain America

Ah, good guy Steve Rogers. He was a willing part of the Super Soldier Program, meaning that he’s basically the perfect human specimen. He’s fast, agile and recovers super quickly.

Number 3: Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel

Once part of the United States Air Force, Carol Danvers was given superhuman strength after an accident. She can also manipulate energy through her hands with blasts from her fingertips.

Number 4: Tony Stark / Iron Man

He may seem just like a man in a machine, but Tony Stark is one of the ‘greatest minds in the Marvel universe’. He can outthink his enemies and he’s also got an arsenal of high-calibre weapons.

Number 5: Bruce Banner / Hulk

An iconic Marvel character, Bruce Banner transformed into the universe’s strongest hero after an experimental gamma bomb explosion. If you need muscles, you need The Hulk.

Number 6: Scott Lang / Ant-Man

Ant Man has been invaluable at times to Tony Stark and some of the other Avengers by being able to shift his size any time he likes, even being microscopic.

Number 7: Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow

With incredible fighting skills, Natasha Romanoff has been a key agent for spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D., despite her history of being a Russian spy causing some Avengers to distrust her.

Number 8: Nebula

The adopted daughter of Thanos, Nebula was once on the opposite side of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. But now she’s all up for a battle with her father.

Number 9: Clint Barton / Hawkeye / Ronin

Although he hasn’t been around for a while, we’re looking forward to seeing Hawkeye’s bow and arrow theatrics, this time with the powers of Ronin behind him.
