Sometimes people tell you not to do things. They tell you not to ask questions, not to talk too loudly, not to walk alone. Rules, though, they’re made to be broken. You’ve got a path to forge and no time to waste. So, in the spirit of staying up way too late, throwing moderation out the window and going your own way, we’re tackling another don’t from days past: wearing what we’re told doesn’t – shouldn’t – go.
For us, it’s all about the clash, the noise you make. Be seen, we say. Last season it was blue and green, and, this time around, pink and red is the look-again colour combo of choice for Editors and the street set alike. We are seeing it everywhere so it comes as little surprise that it’s been dubbed the new black-and-white by international fashion mastheads world over, and as we spy it at the shows – in New York, London and Milan – it’s the super sweet combo we can’t get enough of.
So, how to wear it? Turn the volume all the way and go for bright contrasting primaries. And, don't stop at apparel. It's time to go all the way.
