How has the pandemic changed your beauty routine?
The pandemic has really changed my beauty routine in that I am paying a lot of attention to my skin, and using multipurpose products that give me quick results and do many things.
Do you have any lockdown beauty horror stories?
My acrylic nails, my regrowth – need I say more. Not having access to beauty professionals made the upkeep of these things quite a challenge. For the first time in eight years, I had short nails, and I had to get really crafty with wearing my hair up to avoid the regrowth and greys from being the focus feature.
What’s your quick Zoom-ready beauty routine?
Zoom-ready is about things that will show through the screen of a camera. It’s about having a gorgeous cream cheek highlight, a great blush, and a pop of colour on the lip. Also, a desk makeup light will take things to a whole new level. I love Glow Play Blush in That's Peachy Index teamed with the Hyper Real Glow Palette.
Did you pick up any lockdown beauty hacks that are so good you can’t go back?
Yes! I love to lather my hair in a hydrating masque – sleek it into a bun (it kind of looks like it’s gelled back) and I have my slick business bun ready for zoom or work action. Nobody can tell!

What are your top three tips for how to go back to the office in style?
Experiment with colour. Now that you have your refined basic beauty routine down, this is the time to have fun with a fresh daring approach to colour.
What was the first beauty treatment you booked after lockdown?
I booked in to have my hair sorted and a massage. It was life-changing.
How has your makeup routine changed since before the pandemic?
I take a lot more time with skincare, and I love the ritual of applying skincare and makeup. The luxury of doing this used to be an autopilot event that you never thought twice about. Now I’m more present.
What’s a simple but effective makeup routine for anyone who needs to get ready in a hurry?
Multi-tasking products like lipsticks in versatile shades like Vegas Volt for a pop or Kinda Sexy for something subtle, that can be used as crème blush. Strobe Cream can be used to also highlight over the top of makeup for a look that’s refined but fresh. Look for products that can help you get there fast.

How can we prevent our makeup from looking cakey after being in air conditioning all day?
For dry skin, ensure you are using the right skincare that is emollient-rich. When someone with a dry skin type doesn’t have enough hydration in their complexion, the skin will want to draw out any water content from your makeup – that is where you can look cakey and patchy. Not to mention, air conditioning can dry the skin even more. Fix + Magic Radiance is a godsend.
For an oily skin type, make sure you are using skincare with ingredients such as aloe and algae that hold high water concentrates. When water evaporates from the skin when sitting in heating or cooling, the skin can sometimes be left looking patchy. You could also consider pairing your skincare with a primer that will support your makeup. Fix + Original is a great product to help keep everything looking gorgeous.
What makeup products are always in your beauty bag?
Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation (for touch-ups), cream blush and Fix + Magic Radiance.
What’s your fail-safe makeup refresh routine for going from desk to dinner?
Fix + and Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation for a little skin touch up & then a killer red lip – Lady Danger is my absolute fave.
