Maybe the Naked Shoe Trend isn’t Such a Bad Idea

It worked for Cinderella...

See-through shoes are no news to us; they’ve been lingering around since who knows when but we’ll be honest, we’ve been reluctant to take them out for a spin. The main reason being that the sheer sight of them sends our feet into a sweat, but if beauties like Kim Kardashian and the rest of her clan, Chrissy Tiegen and even our very own Laura Byrne can make the trend work on the regular, then surely they can’t be that bad...

On the fence? Here are some points that make a solid case for see-through shoes:

Clear straps will give the illusion of longer legs – there’s no defined line to cut you off at the ankle or even at the toe.

The struggle to find the perfect colour is over, this shade is universal.

You don’t have to think about matching your shoes to the rest of your outfit, these will blend right in.

They add a hint of sparkle without stealing the spotlight from your dress or statement earrings.

Say someone spills their drink on your shoes that night – now you can just dab dry like nothing ever happened.

Still not interested in seeing the potential nightmare of what your toes might look like pushed inside? That’s fine, there are other styles for you...
