It’s Time To Talk About Socks and Sandals

We weigh up the for and against.

But then, so did most of our Dads growing up.

Socks and sandals.

There are regularly-updated and highly-trafficked sites on the WWW dedicated to ‘The Absolute Worst Pictures Of Men In Socks And Sandals’ ... Still, though, it’s the cosiest of trends. And Dad style, well, we’ve been on this bandwagon for quite some time.

Plus, it makes sense: love sandals? Wear them. Love slides? Wear them. Cold? Wear socks.

This power couple have walked the runways for the past few seasons – and counting. The rise of slob-core sure didn’t hurt, either.

Think pool slides and shin-length socks, or your trusted Birkenstocks with a ribbed sock. Or, go all out with Teva-style sandals and your sock of choice. While it’s not always considered work appropriate (even if you work for yourself), there’s no denying it’s a recipe for toasty-as toes.

Is it cool? This is what people are asking. But the point is this: do you really care? Like we always say: go your own way.

If it feels good, do it. Just make sure those socks of yours go through the wash cycle on the reg.
