Euphoria is finally back and we’re beyond ready for season 2 to delight us with some new makeup inspiration. Crazy storylines aside, the makeup looks in the first season were one of the reasons we all became so entranced by the show. Makeup artist Donni Davy shared a glimpse into the looks ahead of the season on her Instagram account, foreshadowing season 2 as the first season’s introverted sister. “She has her full glam moments but then switches to super minimalism,” said Davy.
Here are our favourite Euphoria makeup looks from the new season so far, and what you’ll need to recreate them.
Maddy Perez
We’re beyond obsessed with Maddy’s sharp black eyeliner and intentional glitter cut crease. Davy wrote on Instagram that Maddy’s wing was designed to be “sharp like a knife to cut through whatever stands in her way: Ex-boyfriends, bathroom doors, etc.”. Actress Alexa Demie, who plays Maddy in the series, contributed to the makeup looks this season by collaborating with the makeup artists with ideas and backstories for each look.

Kat Hernandez
Kat always brings it when it comes to her glam. This bright green and blue eye look for New Year’s Eve was a delightful contrast to the other characters makeup looks, which all lacked a pop of colour. As Davy explained on Instagram, we can expect more colour from Kat this season “you’ll see that many of her looks involve a super clean lower lash line and bright colours. I interpreted this as Kat still being kind of new to wearing makeup, and very much still using it to help her figure out who she wants to be.”

Cassie Howard
With tiny rhinestones scattered across her eyelids in a delicate wing-like shape, Cassie’s look couldn’t be more different from Maddy’s sharp and intense makeup. But once you look past the rhinestones, it’s clear that there’s more to this look than first meets the eye. Cassie went foundation free to allow her dewy skin to show through with super-flushed lips and cheeks. “We were always bringing her lip colour out beyond her lips to sort of look like ‘make-out/cry’ lips or like she had been nervously biting her lip,” said Davy on Instagram. What could she possibly have been so nervous about? Oh, wait…

Jules Vaughn
Jules' beauty look has evolved in a big way since last season. Her inner corner eyeliner look paired with a hint of glitter for the New Year’s Eve party was a standout in the first episode of season 2. Davy took to her Instagram to explain the look, “the inner corner placement of a matte black shape against a minimal eyelid backdrop feels less like makeup itself, and more just like a structural SHAPE that draws us into her gaze during the NYE party.”

Lexi Howard
Lexi seems to be really coming into her own this season, and naturally, her makeup reflects this. This berry pink lip colour was paired with a soft coral eyeshadow with a touch of glitter and a gentle updo which ties the whole look together. “This episode marks the start of Lexi’s self-actualisation journey, and you know her makeup will echo her character’s evolution,” says Davy on Instagram. We can’t wait to see more of Lexi’s looks this season – and more of Lexi and Fezco too, please!
