Of all the things we learnt in lockdown – DIY sourdough is hard but making focaccia is much easier, watching Stanley Tucci make cocktails is enough to quench our thirst etc. etc. – realising the all-day-every-day comfort of living in leggings is by far our favourite lesson, at least in terms of style. So now that things are starting to ‘return to normal’ we’re looking for ways to work our new favourite stretchy pants into our regular wardrobe rotation – if we can up-style our sweatpants and hoodies, you best believe yoga pants can be elevated to the same level too.
6 Haute tips for stretchy pant style:
1. Always do a squat test (to make sure they’re not see-through) before you head out in public
2. If overexposure is a concern, longer tops, jumpers, blazers and coats will be your saving grace
3. Sticking to a sporty theme with sneakers and puffer jackets is a safer option
4. That doesn’t mean they can’t replace jeans and be paired with your nice tops and a heel or boot
5. If you've actually worked out in them, maybe change to a fresh pair first
6. Just own it – if you're not comfortable, don't wear them
