Lately, we’ve been thinking about bringing back the glamour. About wearing bought-for-occasion dresses on the daily. About luxury, indulgence and the just-becauses in our lives.
And we’re not alone in the philosophy. Inspiration, it’s everywhere. Sophia Loren, for example. Old-school Hollywood to a tee, she was impeccable, impassable, and for her, it seemed, nothing seemed impossible. She starred alongside Cary Grant and Frank Sinatra, penned three cookbooks (true story), and wrote a journal only to burn it at the close of each year.
While she denied to The New York Times the quote that most know her by – “Everything you see I owe to spaghetti” – her style was unmistakable. Effortlessly elegant. Chic, always.
