Planning the office end-of-year party can be difficult for many reasons. Not only do you have to come up with a theme that everyone can relate to and would want to participate in, you also have the added pressure to pull an epic outfit together, because it was your idea after all. A lot of themes have been recycled over the years (how many tropical-themed parties have you been to?) so now, let’s try something a little different.
Movies

Movies
No matter what type of office you work in, there’s bound to be a genre of films everyone can relate their wardrobe to. Keep the brief loose and expect a random mix of characters to show up, or reign it in a little for some unison. Why not try Disney film characters? Not everyone has to dress up as a princess here. You could get a few Jack Sparrow’s, a Mary Poppins, or a menacing (but gorgeous) Maleficent.
Fashion

Fashion
Take your pick from the latest fashion trends and turn it into the theme. A safari party would allow people to wear the neutral tones and animal prints that they already have in their wardrobe, and if they are on the lookout for something new, then at least they’ll be able to wear their ‘costume’ more than once.
Music

Music
Sometimes, the best party themes are iconic. Why not lean into it and get everyone to dress up as a singer in an iconic music video? Take inspiration from the '90s and think TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’ or Gwen Stefani when she was 'Just A Girl'. Some people might even hop on the ‘Thank You, Next’ bandwagon and dress up as their favourite version of Ariana Grande.
The possibilities are endless! Keep your themes open to interpretation and give your co-workers the chance to think outside their normal realm of work and get creative. Hone in on something everyone can relate to and have fun with it. You’ve got this!
