We’re all wearing our go-to cosy pieces on repeat at the moment, which is comfy, yes, but can make all the days feel like they merge into one.
If you’ve snapped up everything you want from our newest arrivals, can we recommend this wardrobe challenge to get maximum wear out of all your items?
And if you’re still not feeling inspired by what’s hanging on your rails and folded in your drawers, try out these five ways to make your pieces feel new…
1. It’s not what you wear, but how
Teach old dogs new tricks – take your old faithful shirts and wear them in a new way. Instead of the traditional button-down, wrap and tuck the front instead… wear them off the shoulder… back-to-front. Tash Sefton’s Instagram is our ultimate inspiration for new ways to wear forever pieces like the classic shirt.

2. Belt up
Grab your favourite blazer, trench, shirt or dress and cinch it with a statement belt to create a new silhouette, or add a contrast to an old favourite. Try it – it really can transform go-to pieces to feel like new.
3. Looks to dye for
Swap the colour of lighter items for something different by dyeing them a new colour or create new designs with tie dye.
4. Button It
You don’t need to be a tailor to do this simple alteration. Pick up some new buttons from an op shop or old piece of clothing and stitch them on for a new look. This works a treat with jackets and blazers. Metallic buttons? Why not swap them to something tonal for a more minimal look? Or if they’re already understated why not swap them with something contrasting?

5. Accessorise
Whether it’s a playful scrunchie, a headband, party shoes or a token bag, opting for the accessory you don’t expect is an instant outfit shake up. While we’re staying safely at home, why not find out how to make your own?
