5 Things We Bought (And Loved) This Winter

What made me add to bag? I’m lucky enough to see all the pieces our fashion team are calling in for stories and my beady little eye spotted this bag when our Head of Fashion used it in our Considered Edit shoot. Of course, the colour and the cross body strap caught my attention. I’m totally here for lilac right now.

My first impressions … It’s the perfect everyday bag. I’ve been toting a huge bag of stuff around since having a baby so moving back to a mini again has felt truly luxurious. I love that the seatbelt style strap gives some edge to an otherwise quite pretty bag. 

The verdict … Don’t be fooled into thinking the colour makes this is an occasional bag. I have worn this bag every day since it arrived! It’s the perfect size for essentials and the colour and strap instantly add interest to a winter outfit.

What made me add to bag? The fun neon pink colour! Need some excitement on these rainy winter days. 

My first impressions … It’s perfect colour combo, clash of red and pink. Great item to wear to an event or have an 'extra' kind of day at work. Fun item! 

The verdict …  It's beautiful. Love the silk fabric. The dress can be easily layered with either a turtleneck underneath or an oversized block coloured jumper on top, making it an item you can wear from desk to dinner and from winter to your summer events. This dress instantly brings creativity to your day!

What made me add to bag? My colleagues at work were raving about them and I found it really interesting how the boots worked with their individual styles very seamlessly. Also – this item is part of THE ICONIC’s Considered Edit so that’s a bonus in my books.

My first impressions …  The details were just amazing – with buttery soft leather with a cuban heel and white stitching, they're definitely a handsome-looking pair. I thought the pointed toe would mean that the shoe needs to be broken in but to my surprise they were comfy from the get-go.

The verdict … Because the boots are really pointy and cut off at the slimmest part of my ankles, they really elongate my legs and make me want to wear them with everything, constantly. Their low heel gives me a height boost but I could wear them for the entire day without any issues. I’ve certainly got my money’s worth out of this pair!

What made me add to bag? The beautiful dusty pink colour! My winter wardrobe consists mainly of nude-tones and whites, so this is the perfect accent piece. 

My first impressions … It’s such a beautiful fabric. I love a good wool jacket especially as winter really starts to set in in the mornings. Plus, it fits like a dream. 

The verdict … It’s the splash of colour I never knew I needed. To be honest, I love the colour so much that I’ve bought more candy-coloured items... I’m going to need a bigger wardrobe!!

What made me add to bag? I was a total victim of influencer marketing. After spotting the earrings on Dua Lipa in one of her Instagram posts I tracked down the name of the brand, then immediately jumped on THE ICONIC to purchase them for myself. 

My first impressions … I love them! They make it easy to add a bit of sparkle to my everyday outfits. I’ve even found myself wearing my hair up more often so the earrings can be seen. 

The verdict … The earrings make it easy to lift a simple everyday look, while also complementing a more formal look for a special occasion. I constantly get stopped and asked where I got them from… It’s always nice when I can point someone in the direction of THE ICONIC.
