What would you do if you had more time? If you didn’t have to spend the daily 10 minutes-plus of staring at your cupboard trying to figure out exactly what you feel like wearing? This daily ritual can be overwhelming and exhausting and, more importantly, it’s eating into your snooze time.
There are some women, though, who have cracked this game. Their solution? To wear (almost) the same thing, day in, day out.
We first came across this genius idea when we read about creative at Matilda Kahl, then a creative at Saatchi & Saatchi New York, who decided she would stock up on her uniform of choice – white shirts and black trousers – and be done with it.
She’s far from alone, in going back to the schoolyard idea of a daily uniform. The late Steve Jobs was rarely seen in anything other than that black turtleneck, the late Karl Lagerfeld rocked the same suit on the regular, all of them saying sayonara to decision fatigue, leaving you open to use that brain / will power of yours on other events. Kind of, also, like Ariana Grande’s ponytail.
We’re not saying you have to wear the same same day in, day out, but here’s some inspo from women who have made their style, well, their own. So, why not borrow?
Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham
The women who, once upon a time, went by the name Posh is still super sleek, always immaculately tailored with a whole lot of femme. Black is her go-to but she’s far from afraid of a little colour. Or the one-tone all over. She rocks a blouse like nobody’s business and always has a touch of that 70s vibe to her. Oh, and of course, always a pair of pumps. Stand tall.
Brigette Macron

Brigette Macron
She’s been dubbed the “most loved French First lady” by The Guardian, among others, and the woman who has got 24 years on her husband sure has style. She’s big on the pantsuit, the skirt suit, and our personal favourite, the cream blazer. Live in this.
Cindy Crawford

Cindy Crawford
Mastering the model-off-duty look, Cindy Crawford is one of the leading reasons we too live year-round in a white shirt and denim. The simplest combination and one that never gets old.
Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung
While Chung's off duty style is jeans and 70s-inspired blouses, it’s her party dresses that really win us over. Prints that are bolder than bold, her call is to be brave in all that you do.
