A corner store umbrella isn’t going to cut it today as our friends at the BOM issue travel warnings and urge Sydney-siders to stay put until the rain subsides. So, how to look like an adjective other than ‘wet’?
To help you out, we’ve rounded up our pick of rain gear to help you stay dry, now … And if not for this time around, then for next time for sure.
Among our waterproof wear go-to’s? An umbrella (that we’ll now carry forever-ever) and some boots to keep the deluge at bay. A lightweight rain coat that doubles as a trench, cropped pants – keep your hems high to keep them dry – and weather-proof sheens. Think leather, patent leather and anything from which you can wipe the rain right off. Also: windbreakers and trusted ankle boots.
Most importantly, though, stay dry and off the roads where possible. As if you needed an excuse to work from home (read: bed).
