If you’ve noticed some impeccably dressed people lingering around Sydney right now it’s because Afterpay Australian Fashion Week 2021 (AAFW) is in full swing. While the main focus is on the incredible runway shows put on by local labels like Rebecca Vallance, BONDI BORN, alice McCALL and Romance Was Born, we can’t help but get a little bit excited about the street style on display too. See what THE ICONIC’s Head Of Style Nicole Adolphe is planning to wear to AAFW and get inspired for your future events.

Day 1
“I’ve chosen to wear something statement, like this alice McCALL look and See by Chloe bag. Later in the day, because the weather is a bit tricky this time of year, I’m going to add a Rebecca Vallance trench coat.”
Day 2
“I’m definitely going to wear a leather pant and blazer look – I’m still deciding between the Oroton Check Blazer or Dazie’s Dilemma Blazer for a pop of colour. Shoe-wise, love it or hate it, the chunky boot is the boot of the season so I’m either going to wear the AERE Chunky Leather Sock boots or the Dazie Beverly Heels depending on what the weather is like.”
Day 3
“Day 3 calls for a little floral dress by Bec + Bridge and a super-cute bag from Cult Gaia. When it gets dark, I’ll be popping on a nice warm fleece jacket by Shona Joy, or perhaps a longline coat from TOPSHOP.”
Day 4
“I’m channeling the neutral trend with this Ginger & Smart Clarity Dress and rag & bone bag, or maybe add a pop of colour with this Hansen & Gretel Corbin Skirt paired with the CAMILLA AND MARC Limia Jacket. Then, for the finale, I’m going to bust out in the sequin Sass & Bide Midnight Revival Pants
