Hindsight often comes with the bitter taste of regret.
Realising you shouldn't have slept on a release is never a pleasant feeling, it can literally keep you up at night. Not because you have a problem, you're just passionate. Which is only made worse if the resale price skyrocketed from sheer hype. This leaves you wishing you punched in those credit card details instead of what you actually did: shut down your computer and went to sleep. But that's all part of the game. It's November and you're stashing your pennies for the end of the year. We all know how much damage December does to our bank balances.
With that in mind, we thought it would be fun to rub a little more salt into your wounds. Not because we're cynical, but mainly because there were so many releases that got us excited. With that in mind, here are 10 of the top releases you really shouldn't have slept on from the month that was.
10. The adidas NMD r1 Pack

Clearly adidas was feeling generous in the month of October. Serving up eight variations of their highly sought after NMD r1. adidas donned each pair with NMD branding written large on the rear of a BOOST cushioned sole.
9. PUMA Unveil RS-X 'Transformers' Pack

This joint venture from PUMA and Hasbro came to us in the way of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee inspired RS-Xs. Each pair is graced with the Autobots logo in metallic silver on the heel.
8. adidas Dropped Their Never Made Pack

October was packed with captivating releases from the brand with the Three Stripes. No more so than the Never Made pack, which offered a futuristic look at some of their iconic designs. For us, the heaviest hitter was a 4D-5923 that underpins the I-5923 with Futurecraft technology.
7. The DBZ x adidas 'Cell' Prophere and 'Son Gohan' Deerupt

One of the most anticipated collaborations of 2018, the Dragon Ball Z x adidas collaboration released two of their pack in October. The 'Cell' Prophere and the Son 'Gohan' Deerupt faced off. Judging by how quick most retailers sold out, we were left scratching our head, wondering who actually won.
6. Another Chance To Cop The Off White Air VaporMax

You often cry out for restocks and, in October, Slam Jam answered by giving you the chance to cop, at retail, the Off-White x Nike Air VaporMax, which certainly is one of the stronger releases from Off-White and Nike of late.
5. Yeezy BOOST 350 v2 'Sesame' Got Accidental Early Release

An adidas store in Kwangju accidentally released the Yeezy BOOST 350 v2 ‘Sesame’ early this month and was surely left with a big mess to clean up. Who doesn't love a scandal? The latest v2 was quickly snapped up by punters eager to score the early cop.
4. Philippines-inspired Nike Air Max 270 Surfaces

Something with a little bit of fight surfaced from the team at Nike this month. These Air Max 270s aren't an official nod to the Philippines (or Pacquiao), mind you, but we couldn't help but notice the resemblance.
3. 'Mauve' Yeezy BOOST 700s for Everyone? EU Stock Numbers Revealed

When Kanye told us there would be 'Yeezys for everyone', we didn't necessarily believe him. However, when the leaked Yeezy 700 BOOST numbers found their way to us, we figured he was probably keeping as true to his word as he could. Even with the supposed total stock count of 29348, some fans still managed to cop an L.
2. Nike's Air Max 97 'Spruce Aura' is a Minimal Marvel

Keepin' it simple with a minimalistic Air Max 97, the 'Spruce Aura' surely excited a few of you. Black hit the lacing, tongue, pull tabs, and contoured upper portion, with light grey suede contrasting below.
1. These 'Bordeaux' Nike Air Max 1s are One of This Year's Best

Possibly one of the most exciting Air Max 1 releases from 2018, the 'Bordeaux' hit the shelves at Overkill and got us reminiscing about the glory days. This new bubble-blessed runner featured a stoic white mesh and black microsuede base that has been beautifully accented with hits of golden yellow, 'Geode Teal' and, of course, 'Bordeaux'!
This was only a snapshot of all that released in October. Cleary, there was something for everyone. But, more importantly, how many of these were you forced to pass on?
