This Vegan, Clean Beauty Concealer Puts Dark Eye Circles To Bed

We tried Eye Of Horus Triple C Concealer and we’ve never looked fresher.

While TikTokers studiously apply dark shadow beneath the eyes to replicate a viral makeup trend that makes them look more tired (why–we don’t know), we’ve been on the search for a product to do the exact opposite – cue Eye of Horus Triple C Concealer.

New to THE ICONIC Considered edit and found under both our Animal Friendly and Free From filters, Eye of Horus Triple C Concealer is vegan friendly, cruelty free and free from harmful ingredients. The highly pigmented, creamy formula is available in 8 different shades, boasts 3 forms of potent Vitamin C, sets without creasing and can be layered for maximum coverage.

Curious to see whether it conceals redness, imperfections and dark circles around the eye area as the label suggests, we had ICONIC insiders put it to the test.

Stephen – Social Media Coordinator
“My approach to makeup and skincare is very VERY picky and reserved. I rarely introduce anything new to my holy grail routine unless it's to try out new products that I believe can rival my current skincare set, and I can safely say that I am definitely adding a few Eye Of Horus products into my everyday routine after trialling them, including the Triple C Concealer!

“So you know how life loves throwing everything difficult your way and it eventually shows under your eyes as these really frustrating bags of dark circles that literally could help you make the cut to join a tribe of pandas? Yeah after this, I WOULDN’T KNOW (insert evil laugh here).

“It is basically a dose of three potent forms of Vitamin C in a hydrating, easily layered concealer that may assist with visibly brightening the skin over time. How genius is thaaaat? If you’re in the market for a good concealer that doubles as skincare, give this a go. I use it to cover up my acne scarring and on top of areas I want to catch the light.

“Its formula includes Moringa Oil, Vitamin E, and Jojoba Oil too, so it is VERY nourishing.

“The only cons I had were that it doesn’t have a matte finish so I’d suggest brushing setting powder over the top, and my perfect shade is between Dark Ochre and Medium Sand so I have to mix the two.”

Ash – Editorial Coordinator
“At the age of 35, I’m one of those lucky people that struggles with fine lines, dark circles and breakouts, all at the same time. As a working mum, I also suffer from a severe lack of time and motivation to dedicate to the kind of intense skin care routine I am probably in desperate need of.

“Concealer is my most loved and hated beauty product. With the potential to cover all of my bad habits (zit picking and late night Netflix binges after the kids are in bed) it also has the highest potential to cake-on and ruin any kind of ‘bare-faced’ look I had in mind. That is until I tried Eye of Horus – it’s skincare and makeup ALL-IN-ONE! The Triple C Concealer is like the holy grail of makeup. It goes on like an eye cream and blends beautifully into light coverage makeup. Infused with Vitamin C, it may also assist with brightening (goodbye dark circles) and smoothing (later, fine lines!) over time.

"I use the Light Alabaster on my eyes and Medium Sand on my spots and blend with fingertips.”

“I’m prone to eczema – at the moment it’s almost non-existent on my face (yay!) but it has been pretty severe in the recent past (I’m talking red, inflamed eyelids, flakiness, pain, the works), so when it comes to cosmetics I am extremely particular, especially when it comes to applying products to sensitive areas. Thankfully, Eye of Horus products haven’t caused any bad reactions. So far I’ve tried their Goddess Mascara, Brow Define pencil, Bio Lip Elixir and Triple C Concealer.

“Their concealer in Dark Ochre has been one of my everyday favourites – I tried Medium Sand but it was too light for my complexion. I find it corrects any redness and provides light coverage for my darker scars and freckles. The creamy formula blends well, doesn’t feel heavy or cakey and hasn’t caused any flaking, which often happens around my nose area when I’ve tried other concealers in the past. My only question is: when does the matching foundation drop?!”

“A day of back-to-back Zoom meetings calls for a low-maintenance approach to make-up – brushing and filling in my brows and minimal ‘touching up’ of my complexion. That's why the Eye of Horus Bio Triple C Concealer has been within reach for weeks now – a brightening dab in the corners of the eyes and on any redness (or an emerging pimple) does the trick.

"The concealer has a creamy finish without being heavy, and I like the consistency so much it’s been elevated from the desk essential to take-everywhere status, always one of the very few items in my bag on any night out.

"I’m pale and I find that very light shades often appear powdery and don’t sit well but that hasn’t been the case at all with the ‘Alabaster – light’ tone. It’s just warm enough that it blends with your skin tone but doesn’t wash you out further.

"I love that it’s packed with three types of vitamin C too, so it’s skincare and make-up in one.”
