We caught up with Cat Quinn, M·A·C Global Trend Executive Director, for her take on the TV shows we’ll be adding to our beauty moodboards this season. After all, who better to ask than the TikTok trend whisperer and self-confessed TV buff?

Emily in Paris Season 3

“I’m so excited for season 3 of Emily in Paris. I got a sneak peek, and there are so many romantic tones of pink, mauve, and plum this season. We see Emily move further away from her stereotypical fish-out-of-water ‘American’ look and embrace more undone French chic makeup and hair – including an entire subplot around her cutting bangs! She looks so good. Her makeup artist Aurelie Payen and hairstylist Mike Desir are local to Paris, so if anyone can make her look like a Parisian, it’s them!”

Bridgerton Season 3

“Based on sneak peeks we’ve been getting of Bridgerton season 3, get ready for the most incredible glow-up of our main girl Penelope. Hair and makeup designer Erika Okvist and her team are amazing and carefully plan out beauty arcs for each of the characters, and you can see them doing it with Pen. From soft, rounded innocent doe-eyes and matte skin in seasons 1 and 2, you can tell they’re making her much glowier and flushed in season 3 with elongated smoky eyes that give her a sexy, smouldering look. She’s going to get her full main character moment, as she deserves.”

Euphoria Season 3

“I’m super excited for where they will take Euphoria, which always has such a huge impact on makeup and culture (Donni Davy and her team are geniuses!). We already saw a huge departure from season 1 with the darker, edgier, ‘cool older sister’ looks in season 2. For season 3, I think we will continue seeing growth in the characters that will be reflected in their beauty looks.”

“I’m gunning for a major change for Lexi, who Maude Apatow recently said will be embracing her freedom. I predict a huge chop for her – it just makes sense that she would take control of her life with a bob, right? And she looks so good with one IRL. I know Zendaya is hoping for a bit of joy and love and peace for her character, and it would be interesting to see that reflected in her look. I can’t see her going full glam, but softer and more put-together and less weighed down by the world. I’m very interested in seeing where Maddy’s look goes now that she’s leaving that town and Nate in the dust (hopefully), and taking control of the glamorous life she fantasises about. And without Maddy’s influence, where will Cassie’s look go? I can’t wait to find out.”
