Yoga is moving meditation, a chance to spend a whole hour away from the notifications that hit up your phone on the regular. A one-hour class brings your stress levels way down, ups your flexibility, all the while working on your balance. A yoga class releases endorphins, improves posture, and is great for toning. Plus, practicing yoga on the reg will keep your injury count way down (unless you attempt a headstand way too soon). Yoga helps you be a better surfer, a better runner, a better … well, whatever it is you want to be.
So, what to wear to get your stretch on? Let us help you out.

Room to move
Comfort is key when it comes to your mat session. You’re looking for loose-fitting shorts with lots of give.
Plenty of stretch
You will be pulling all the moves – some smooth and some not so much. You want fabric and fits that move with you rather than being left behind. Think super-loose sweats, muscle tanks that stay put and anything else that lets you move.
Keep your cool
You’re going to sweat. A lot. So you want something that wicks the moisture away from your skin and stops you creating a moat around your mat.
Play it safe
You don’t want anything that, erm, gapes. If you’re a fan of loose-fitting shorts, pop some bike shorts underneath.
Bring a towel
Trust us, you’ll need it.
And, when all else fail, there’s always savasana. Group nap time, here you come.
