If you’re anything like me, you’ve prepped the kids’ Christmas presents a little too far in advance and are starting to get the itch to treat them to more things. Rather than fill their stockings with more lollies than you’d want them to eat in a year (let alone a day) try gifting them something a bit more personal this year.
There’s something about emulating parents that brings a special glimmer to the eye of a child. Sitting on my mum’s bed while she did her hair and makeup for work in the morning, I remember thinking, “I want to be just like her!”. And now I roll out of bed 30mins before heading to my home office with no more than SPF and a bit of eyebrow pencil and think “thank god times have changed!” With that being said, I see that same look in my daughter’s eyes when she raids my t-shirt drawer for a bedtime nightie, or stomps around the house in my sparkling heels (at least someone is getting use out of them these days). Imitation really is the ultimate form of flattery.
It may be cheesy, but festive mini-me dressing is a thing, so lean into it! YOLO right? And it’s not just Christmas PJs anymore, thanks to social media, every event is an opportunity for the perfect family photo. So I’ve picked a few cute looks that I’d happily share with my tiny.
