How To Get Siren Eyes, TikTok’s Latest Viral Makeup Trend

If ‘seductive’ was a makeup look, this would be it.

There’s no shortage of beauty trends on TikTok. From slugging to clean look makeup, there’s truly something for everyone – and the latest makeup craze will have you rethinking your entire eye makeup routine.

Siren eyes are the latest trend to go viral on TikTok with the #sireneyes hashtag now at over 284 million views. Celebrities like Bella Hadid, Alexa Demie and Zendaya have been spotted wearing the cat-eye-like gaze. This seductive eyeliner look is reminiscent of ‘90s supermodel eye makeup and has the power to be transformative when applied correctly. Round, doe-eyed peepers are instantly elongated and lifted into a narrow, sultry stare.

The siren has its origins in Greek mythology, referring to seductive creatures who were so irresistible that they would lure sailors to their demise with their beautiful singing voices. Siren eyes are supposed to embody confidence, power and mystery like the siren, but are far less dangerous (at least to sailors).

According to TikTok creator @daniellemarcan, who was one of the first to jump on the trend, siren eyes are all about creating a seductive, elongated eye look. Start by blending a bronzer through the crease of your eyelid, blending outwards to create a base for the rest of the look.

Use dark brown or black pencil eyeliner and draw a line from the outer corner of your eyes and bring it out as far as the tail end of your brow. Instead of winging it up, the aim is to keep the line as straight as possible to elongate your eyes.

Next, apply the eyeliner to the outer corners of your lower lashline, connecting the liner to your upper lash line. You’re then going to lightly apply the same eyeliner inwards from your lashline into the inner corners of your eyes.

Grab a small angled eye makeup brush and smudge a hint of black eyeshadow outwards (or inwards for the inner corners of your eye) to create a smudged, sultry look. This is how siren eyes differ from your typical sharp cat-eye.

Add a touch of white or champagne highlighter to the inner corner of your eye to brighten the area and finish by tightlining your upper waterline with a brown eyeliner pencil to make your lashes appear fuller.

Swipe a few coats of mascara through your lashes and voolia! You now have siren eyes.
