How To Ace Casual Friday, Every Friday

Taking care of business.

Friday, for many, is a favourite. It signals the end of the working week (unless, of course, you run your own business) and, thanks to Casual Friday, it’s a free pass to leave your suit at home. So, what will you sub in in its place?

No matter what you run with, the key here is to keep you wardrobe looking sharp. Those kicks need to be white-hot and same goes with the rest of your look. Anything that’s frayed or on its way there, retire it to your weekend roster. Here’s our tips for this Friday business...

Casual Friday-ready jackets
You can ditch the suit (perhaps even surrender it to the dry cleaner) and trade it in for a blazer. Wear it with a crisp shirt or even a tee.

Your new favourite shirt
Or, ditch the blazer altogether and run with your go-to shirt. We love a denim number on a Friday, but that’s only the beginning. It’s summer, so why not crack out the short sleeves and the after-work-drink-ready prints? Don’t underestimate either, the keep-it-cool of short sleeves.

Wear the pants
When it comes to pants, chinos are always a super safe bet or try some tailoring that’s a little more relaxed than you Monday to Thursday vibe. If you’re running with denim (and we know you want to), keep it tidy and dark if possible. Think clean lines in slim cuts.

Your best shoe
Brogues are a favourite – with socks or without – as are a fresh-looking pair of white kicks.

Bring on Friday night.
