White cotton briefs with a branded waistband. An impeccably cut, little black dress. Simplicity-luxe is synonymous with the name Calvin Klein. The brand built by the man in 1968 was the ultimate label of the ‘90s whose appeal endures to this day - the weight of which, this year drove the entire Kardashian clan to strip down to their tighty-whities, in spite of the media blackout surrounding Kylie Jenner’s secret pregnancy.
Klein revolutionised denim and offered a refreshingly androgynous alternative to traditional lingerie, amplifying its covetability with iconic ad campaigns - who can forget a baby-faced Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss?
Like Brooke Shields said, nearly four decades ago: "Nothing comes between me and my Calvins." She's still wearing them today.
Here’s to you, Calvin Klein.
