If you’re big on sun safety but you’ve also got big hair, then shading your face with a hat is easier said than done. Not all styles are equipped to house thick tresses, not to mention when you’ve got them twisted up into a bun, which if you’re like me, is literally every day in summer because it’s far too hot to let your mane loose. But finally, there’s one style that won’t sacrifice any hairdo; it’s time we embrace the visor.

Once considered an “ugly” cap alternative, made only in sporty fabrics for outdoor athletes, the visor redux is now v. v. cool. Wear your hair up or down or even shave it off, the visor does not discriminate. One thing to consider though – you might want to apply some sunscreen to your scalp.
