The Glacier Express, Switzerland
Connecting two of Switzerland’s busiest and most popular ski resorts, Zermatt and St. Moritz, the Glacier Express glides past mountain passes, snowy peaks and ridiculously pretty alpine towns. And like everything else in Switzerland, it runs perfectly on time and is never late.

The Cinque Terre Train, Italy
Connecting five pastel-coloured seaside towns on the Italian Riviera, the Cinque Terre train runs four times an hour and can get busy. However, the views from its many windows are just stunning. This part of Italy is incredibly beautiful and the train also allows you to walk the six-hour trail between the villages and then catch the train back. Perfection.
