It’s admittedly taken us a bit to get here, fellas, but the drover-style hat has packed its bags, jumped on a Greyhound and made its way into the big smoke. In the same way that R.M. Williams stepped (sorry) into the the corporate shoe checklist, felt, wide-brim hats are placing themselves on every noggin this side of the Great Dividing Range. Heck, even my British editor has one (they did just pass their Australian citizenship test, so it was almost a required follow up.)
So for when your classic bucket hat isn’t quite meeting the dress-code (but you still want to protect your skin or hide last week’s particularly bad trim) reach for a wide-brim fedora. A classic tan fedora style from brands like Brixton and Fallen Broken Street is a great starting point, with other labels like Billy Bones Club and Rhythm also joining the fight against those harmful UV rays. Pair yours with literally anything. Short of wearing it with your gym kit, a felt hat like this one will go with pretty much anything. No, seriously, this is one of those staple accessories that you can’t really go wrong with, and that is something we’ll tip our hat to.
I’ll show myself out.
