Are Thongs the New Slides?

If you had asked me this at the start of the year my answer would’ve been Nope. Nup. Negatory. Don’t get me wrong - rubber thongs have been a footwear staple since forever, but once we added a kitten heel to them in the late 90’s, I’ve kind of steered clear from seeing them as a stylish shoe choice, and only kept them around for pure function. Great for when I had scheduled a pedicure and essential for a shared shower situation, but never a serious choice for any occasion or even non-occasion.
