The Types of Denim to Take to a Festival

Just add glitter and you’re good to go

We love getting creative with our festival costumes but one thing that always remains the same is the addition of a little denim. It’s the only fabric that can truly survive a three-day bender, in fact it almost always comes out looking a little better after some wear and tear. If you’re new to the scene or you’ve worn your denim to death and need an upgrade – here’s our picks.

Denim cut-offs

Jean shorts are a no-brainer. Look for styles that already looked distressed and opt for a fit that’s slightly too big because comfort is key. Wear them with your favourite band tee, a bodysuit or even just a bra. Live in them for the whole weekend, we won’t judge.

Dungarees

Normally we would recommend against wearing a jumpsuit to a festival (or anywhere with a questionable toilet situation) but overalls are the exception. Like denim cut-offs but with the benefit of more pockets.

A Denim Jacket

No matter where you are or how hard you dance you’re almost always going to wish you had a jacket come end of the night. Oversized styles will be the most comfortable after a day of grooving.

A Denim Shirt

If you’re not keen on carrying a denim jacket around, then a denim shirt is just as good. Roll the sleeves or tie them around your waist – you won’t regret packing one.

Jeans

You might think they’ll be too hot but they’re actually made for this kind of thing. They’re hardwearing and any rips or spills won’t matter because they’ll add authenticity.
