As hard as it is to believe, November is here, and with it comes a steady stream of summer parties, festive soirees and end-of-year celebrations (especially after two consecutive Decembers that were hijacked by COVID).
But staring down the barrel of a very full social calendar can be a little daunting, especially when it comes to working out fashion and beauty looks.
So to help ease some of the stress, we’ve taken inspiration from our favourite makeup artists to map out five fun party season looks. From bold colours to small but impactful details, they’re all fun, festive, and achievable to pull off at home.

Red Hot
Red lips hit differently in summer, especially when it’s a poppy hue paired with bronzer and not much else. Take cues from Serena Wyllie and apply a matte tomato shade, whilst keeping mascara to a minimum.

Pop of Pigment
If you’re a makeup minimalist, colour can be daunting. But this summer, it’s all about subtle pops of pastel or neon. If you’re handy with a liquid liner, swap out black for green or blue. Otherwise, a soft sweep of powder shadow will brighten your look without too much skill.

Good Gloss
One of the easiest ways to give your makeup more impact is to go big on the gloss front. FSind a clear formula and press it across the eyes, cheeks and lips for a glistening finish. Bonus: Any sweat will look intentional!

Embellished
Confession: We’re still hung up on Euphoria, including all the crazy-good makeup looks. Perfect for party season, face jewels and glitter are still big news, and an easy way to turn your makeup up a notch. Try adding silver glitter to your eye area, or press on tiny face jewels for a festive finish.

Backseat Brows
This festive season, make a statement by softening your brows. All-out bleaching might be too big a commitment for some, but a little concealer or blonde-tinted pomade can work wonders in lightening them up. It’s arguably the easiest makeup hack to change your whole look, as well. Comb through a little concealer, and then fluff them upwards with a clear gel.
