If you’re yet to hear Miley Cyrus’s Flowers (have you been living under a rock?) just know it’s a track you’ll have playing on repeat until you’re banned from being in control of the office speaker or car stereo. Throwing major shade at ex Liam Hemsworth, Miley released this sheer masterpiece on his birthday this year, after ending a rollercoaster relationship of multiple break ups and proposals, a wedding, and more recently, a divorce. Single gals, this song may have been an unexpected gift to a Hemsworth brother, but being released so close to Valentine’s Day, it’s a gift to us too.

So, what does “Flowers” tell us about Miley and Liam’s drama-filled relationship? It’s all in the music video. We did a bit of sleuthing as the singer sent us on an Easter egg hunt for clues from the get go. 

First, let’s talk about that dress. The clip opens with Miley wearing a vintage gold YSL dress which Miley fans on social media have linked to the biggest clue of Liam’s (alleged) infidelity with Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence. The gold dress is almost bang on to J.Law’s Prabal Gurung gold gown she wore to the Hunger Games premiere in 2012. This of course could all be coincidental, but J.Law did hint on a late night talk show that sparks were flying between her and Liam while the cameras weren’t rolling…so there’s that. 

Way more tea was spilled if you dig deep but the Liam drama isn’t the only thing that we’re sipping (skulling) from this song, it’s the post break up energy for us. From the confidence she exudes, to her hair, the outfits, the dance moves and the fierce workout in her underwear, we are getting nothing less than untouchable vibes from Miley. The break up glow up is real and we absolutely love to see it.
