13 Things That Are as Satisfying as Watching Slime Videos

Excuse us while we feed our infatuation with shiny objects and touching things we just can’t resist.

Like an addiction to watching thick paint being poured onto a blank canvas or listening to the sound of fine pebbles dropping into an empty container, there are some things that are just so oddly satisfying and soothing that it’s simply not enough to enjoy them from afar (aka our phone screens), we need to experience these sensations in the flesh.

This calming, almost meditative feeling is known as an autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) and while it differs from person to person, we think we’ve found a few triggers in new arrivals that are more in tune with our style than carrying around a handful of slime, but are just as enjoyable.

These 13 things give us all the feels:

1. The subtle vibrations and the quiet sound of metal bumps as we drag this Reliquia Jewellery crescent moon pendant along its fine chain necklace.

2. The unique feeling of the pearly strings on these Amber Sceats drop earrings and the light tapping sound they make when we wear them.

3. The sound of our nails as we gently drag them across the bumps and grooves on this Love Moschino Quilted Circle Bag.

4. The springy, paintbrush-like flick we feel then we run our thumb around the edge of these BaubleBar fringed earrings.

5. The golden blur when we flick the spinning disc of this Brie Leon pendant, like a micro fidget spinner that you can wear every day.

6. The wave-like wobble of beads this Missguided Beaded Bag has when we hold it in our hands while it’s empty.

7. The sound of the links of this TOPSHOP Chain Link Belt as we coil it up on dresser table after we’ve been wearing it all day.

8. The near weightless, silky feeling when we comb our fingers through the fringing of this Olga Berg bag.

9. The warped reflection of colours from the smooth, organic bumps of these TOPSHOP earrings. Another fun one to run our nails over.

10. The swirl of colours we see when we hold this Respiro acrylic bag in different angles under the sunlight, and the click of the clasp when we snap it shut.

11. The soft tickle from these By Charlotte thread earrings when we gently shake our head.

12. The way this silky Morgan & Taylor scrunchie just slips out of our ponytail when we’ve got fresh hair.

13. The smooth, organic curves of these Amber Sceats tortoiseshell earrings, that fit to our fingers as if we had twisted them ourselves...
