Just a few of the events from this year that sparked a change in our style…
When stars, like our very own Katherine Langford and Chris Hemsworth, wore all black in protest at the Golden Globes. Support for the TIME’S UP movement extended beyond the red carpet and we saw everyone standing in solidarity on social media, sharing black outfits with the tag WhyWeWearBlack.

When Rih Rih was the most heavenly host of the Met Gala we embraced our religious roots with cross icon accessories. We wore everything from sleeper earrings to chunky rings and charm necklaces.
Coincidentally when the internet fell hard for the yodelling kid in Walmart, our wardrobe has since gained more and more hints of a wild western aesthetic. Young Mason Ramsey wasn’t the only one rocking cowboy boots, it-girls at Fashion Week were too, mixing theirs with whimsical dresses and snakeskin prints.
Anytime the Royals did anything – we were there watching, ready to add whatever they touched to our collection. Camel trench coats: tick. Veja sneakers: tick. A CAMILLA AND MARC blazer, Karen Walker studs and Natalie Marie Jewellery: tick, tick, tick.

When Serena Williams silently said “screw you” to the tennis powers that be by sporting a tutu designed by Virgil Abloh on the courts. It took a while to get her controversial compression catsuit the seal of WTA approval but she got there in the end and made a strong case for elevated gym gear in the process. We want to look and feel good while we work out, so what?

When Lady Gaga wore that Marc Jacobs suit at the Elle Women in Hollywood event and reminded women around the world that it’s important to wear what feels right for you. Since then we’ve seen way more relaxed silhouettes as well as androgynous styles and power suits.

And finally, all the times J. Lo wore a monochromatic outfit. In just these last few weeks alone she’s stepped out in almost every colour from beige to blue to all white, cool grey and coral – all worn top to toe. Her most impressive look though was that hot pink puff of a dress which confirms we’ve finally moved on from millennial shades.
