Socks – they're the accessories that keep the feet happy, and if they’re patterned they can be great conversation starters, but they’re not always essential. Wearing shoes sans socks (and we mean actual shoes not sandals) is a trend we only have a small window of time to try, and that time, my friend, is right now.

Don’t fling them off just yet though, there’s a few things to consider when attempting sockless style:
Pick the Occasion
The barefoot trend works for some smart-casual dress codes, but never go without socks to a formal event; dress shoes should always be worn with a good pair of dress socks.
Style Them Right
Sockless looks good with most pants, from chino shorts to slim-cut jeans, but it’s important that you make it look intentional, not accidental. Rolls the cuffs or have them tailored so that they reveal an inch or two of skin above your shoe.
Fake It
If the mere thought of your bare foot inside a proper shoe makes you sweat, then fake the look with a pair of invisible socks that sit well below your shoe line. No one will know the difference.
Consider the Shoes
Loafers and boat shoes are the obvious choices but you’re not just limited to slip-on styles. Try going barefoot with brogues, monk-straps (the shoes with the buckles), and even sneakers, and always, always keep them clean and polished.
