In case you haven’t noticed, in isolation, we’ve been revisiting movies from our favourite female actresses – Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Rooney Mara, to name a few – regardless of the fact that we may or may not have seen them a million times over. Mostly because they’re cult classics that we could never get sick of and they inspire some of the best outfit ideas, but also, because we’ve basically finished Netflix. So, while we patiently wait for Mr. Netflix to release the sixth and final season of Schitt’s Creek and bring a glimmer of joy to 2020, next on our playlist is multi award-winning actress (and birthday gal) Renee Zellweger. Here are our top 6 viewing favourites.

1. Bridget Jones’s Diary – because Bridget Jones tragically lip syncing All By Myself is a HUGE mood. Pyjamas, unwashed hair, and a just-emptied glass of wine – it’s like looking in the mirror.

2. Jerry Maguire – a truly iconic movie from the cast, the quotes, the outfits, everything! It’s the complete package.

3. Chicago – anyone else feel as fabulous when you catch your reflection in the mirror as she does when she performs ‘Roxie’? No? Just us, ok.

4. What / If – yes it’s trashy and yes, we know it’s technically not a movie, but if you watch all ten episodes in a row it counts and her outfits are a big energy for #FashionFridays.

5. Judy – an absolute feast for your eyes and ears. If you’re feeling very Bridget Jones then Renee Zellweger as Judy Garland will pick you right up.

6. Empire Records – it’s the definition of cult classic and the movie responsible for bringing the original cropped cardigan to our attention, how could we not include it?
