5 Thoughts We Had While Watching Extraction on Netflix

Hold my beer, Chris Hemsworth is kicking butt on the tele.

If you’ve been craving for something new to watch on Netflix, the action-packed Extraction film might satisfy your hunger for adventure and adrenaline (keyword: might). Starring and produced by Aussie icon Chris Hemsworth, and directed by Sam Hargrave (aka the stunt coordinator behind several of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films), Extraction follows the story of a black-market mercenary with nothing to lose (Hemsworth) on a deadly mission to rescue the kidnapped son of an international crime lord. Set in Bangladesh, the movie is mostly just Hemsworth flexing his strength and getting very hot and sweaty as a result of some very impressive fight scenes, in fact, we should probably warn you now that it’s extremely violent and if you’re prone to involuntary bouts of shadow boxing after watching action movies, please exercise caution after viewing (you know who you are!). Here are 5 other thoughts we had while watching:

1. Wow this is violent. We know we mentioned it earlier and it’s an action movie so what are we to expect, but this is some proper no-holds-barred street fighting.

2. Is that actual Home and Away footage they’re playing as his flashbacks? His H&A character, Kim, does end up leaving Summer Bay to raise his child with his partner in the city, so the stories could align, just saying…

3. Wait, who is on whose side? We can’t keep up.

4. The kid is worth $10million and you’re just going to disguise him with a cap? Really?

5. Perhaps the only useful thing to take away from this movie is that your next halloween costume can be taken straight from your usual weekend wardrobe...
